Agree it was a very quite helicopter inside! Speed boat was a 300hp outboard but sounded like a V8. And all that debris in the water didn't take out the prop?

shareThe stupidest scene in the film for me (although there was stiff competition obviously) was the first one with the car in canyon.
It would work better if you replaced the dialogue :
"Hey look guys , the girl who phoned in with the car-on-a-cliff is still alive!"
"We'll soon fix that , get as close as you can with the chopper and see if you can blow the car off that branch its hanging on"
"damn - car still there chief"
"Right then , perform a miracle maneuver and get the chopper into the canyon that is smaller than the blades cos , well we dont need any extra room and we dont want to survive this either do we?"
"No prob cap - i did the same maneuver on GTA last night"
"damn the car has still not plummeted and killed the girl , and bashing these blades against the rock hasnt killed us either!"
"ok , how can we guarantee we all die?"
"how about if we attach the 3 ton car to the winch and then shake it loose? - We'd be dragged to our deaths in a heartbeat right behind it!"

That was a sign of things to come in this crappy film. First they showed her digging through her bag in the back seat even though there was an oncoming car and a dangerous curve ahead on a mountain road. Then she stares at a text message instead of the road in a similar situation. Selfish bitch easily would have killed herself and the people in the oncoming cars if this hadn't been Hollywood fiction. Then when of no fault of her own, the fault line opens up and her car goes crashing down, she somehow survives with minor scratches what would have killed anyone else.
The idiotic idea to make that miracle helicopter maneuver was doubly stupid because even if they were successful going down into the crevice, there was no way they would have been able to navigate back up out of it.
