Pretty good & X-Men

I know of the director from his comics. He drew a really crazy Astonishing X-Men limited series. The art was a little gonzo but gorgeous. I was surprised to see he was a director too. But you can definitely see this guy has a great eye. So many beautiful pictures here. He really has a great instinct.

Overall the movie was much better than I expected. If anything let it down it was the bachelor party plot. Casting mistakes, including the lead, and such a tiny number of guests, hurt that part of the film. When it started I rolled my eyes at the facility stuff but then it got good and missed it when it was gone. Maybe the credits scene should have been in the movie proper because some people don’t take that into account. Which is stupid but there ya go.

I’ve only seen the first three Cabin Fever movies. The two sequels just recently. The first movie I hadn’t seen since it came out but it held up better than I expected. 2 was pretty good too, it did its own weird humorous thing. This franchise is underrated.

Sean Astin, even though he’s a little hobbit, was sexy here. I wonder why he likes carrying so much extra weight on him and hiding his chin.
