A Pleasant surprise

I really enjoyed this film. I had read some posotive and negative reviews and, while the film is not perfect, I loved it. Sure the ending cound have been better but the relationship of beatrice and victor was fascinating. Not to mention, the action scenes were great. Anybody have any thoughts on the film?

I saw the film today and thoroughly enjoyed it, in fact much more than I expected to. For me, Noomi Rapace and Colin Farrell are very charismatic actors whose work I've often enjoyed in the past and I thought they had great chemistry together. It was a movie where you had to suspend your disbelief somewhat, but the central relationship really carried everything forward for me and I found myself rooting for them. The supporting cast with Isabelle Huppert, Terrence Howard and Dominic Cooper were also terrific.

I just watched it recently and I enjoyed it as well. Noomi was fantastic as always and Farrell was great. Good film

I thought some of the dialogue between Noomi Rapace and Colin Farrell was great.

Noomi also looks incredible in this film. Man, those eyes...

Haunting. Thought about it all day and night.

Is it perfect? No.

Definitely yes.

I really liked it, didn't think it was going to be as good as it was.

I watched this last night and thought it was amazing. Definitely one of the best films I've seen this year so far. And I watch at least three films a week, all kinds of films. Then, I come here, look at the film's low rating and see people writing that this film is horrible and I'm so confused. I've even seen reviewers call this a B-movie. Wtf!? The cast, the story, the soundtrack, the action, it was great. The only bad thing I can think of is that I had to turn on the subtitles when Armand Assante was talking.

Best film I've seen this year sitting just below Django. Noomi Rapace is a brilliant actor. And Colin Farrell didn't do anything to get in her way. Great cast.

reply

Yeah, I was really surprised too. Although, I think Howard should have got more screen time.
