Black Sails or Da Vinci's Demons?

I like both but if I had to choose one it would be Da Vinci's Demons. It has more fantasy elements that I enjoy.

While I like the Island scenes and treasure hunting in Black Sails...the metaphysical elements of DaVinci's Demons takes the show to a whole other level. It's got sacred geometry, psychedelic dreamscaping, the possibility of time travel, free masonry, ancient cultures and secrets of the Vatican.

I like both though...a whole lot, even though the violence is unbearable the stories and the production value make me endure it. I suppose it's to capture the male viewership. Black Sails, Marco Polo, DaVinci's Demons have all been surprisingly awesome entertainment while waiting for episodes of Reign and G.O.T.

Both are awesome shows, watch both when you get the chance.

Black Sails, hands down. Da Vinci's Demons is a lot of fantasy mixed in with history, Black Sails is mostly historically accurate.

I like both shows, but i'd take Black Sails without hesitation.

Although Da Vinci's Demons is pretty good, it happens to be way too apocryphal and mystic to my taste. The only thing the show has in common with Da Vinci is the name, nothing more. The rest is just pure fantasy and fairy tales.

Not only is the portrayal highly inaccurate (which was intended obviously), but the events depicted are sometimes outright delusions out of a madman's psychedelic nightmares! Flying robot-birds, bomb-delivering bats... Common now!

Black Sails on the other hand not only has an incredibly convincing cast, a compelling and thrilling story, but also happens to be much more realistic, even if kinda far-fetched from time to time.

As for me, Da vinci's demons: 7/10 whereas Black Sails 9/10.

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

Black sails episodes I enjoy more so ill go with that show, but da vincis demons does certain things better than black sails. Outside of the ship battle scenes, i think demons actually has better visuals and defin itely handles the politics storylines better than black sails.

da vinci's demons should appeal to more people but black sails has better quality...

Look inside yourself and understand the universe

So it took me a while to answer. Was binge watching Black Sails and now Da Vinci. Ok. I would have liked Da Vinci much better if I had watched it first. It's not bad really but Black Sails is much superior. I really fell in love with all those characters (except Max. Cant stand her for some reason). Da Vinci is intriguing but plots are more wicked in Black Sails thanks to Capt Flint, Eleanor and Silver.just my 2 cents worth.
