I read others say that she gained weight for the role. I don't understand why. We don't see her body until she takes her dress off in the jail cell at the end. She's a little squidgy, but certainly not overweight. And her body was never a relevant part of the plot. So why?

Debatable how? It seemed to be about judgement of others based on our interactions. I did not see an instance of others being judged on looks alone. Or possibly based on looks alone. Personal appearance was never a factor in the entire episode.

I guess I should stay away from IMDB in the middle of an episode. But it won't be an issue before this month is over anyways.

Interesting.

There's no way I'd gain 30lbs for ONE episode on a tv show. Call me unprofessional but it's not worth it and not even heathy. The source is dailymail so questionable.

Not a smart thing to do. Reminds me of the photographer who thought the only true way he could report on heroin addiction was to take a quick one month trip in and out of being a junkie. He was still strung out FIFTEEN YEARS LATER!!

She's playing an insecure, low self-esteem character. The approval of other people is the most important thing in her life and that is why she looks up to the "perfect" Alice Eve character.

It is also implied that she had an eating disorder, probably bulimia, when she was a teenager, if I remember correctly. Do you really think a movie star is going to let herself go like that? Bryce Dallas Howard has always been a stick and she just got her biggest break with the Jurassic Park franchise. She wouldn't be so dumb to get fat right now.

I assumed she was early in a pregnancy or coming off of one. It probably wasn't necessary to put on weight for the role, but it did work.

One of the most attractive women I can name, really hard to believe she'd have trouble fitting in, even if she had trouble fitting into her dresses.
