Across the board. Sorkin did it again. The script was incredible. Such a well written movie. Danny Boyle? Hit a grand slam. He took a great script and somehow made it even better with an impressive touch. Michael Fassbender, Winslet and Jeff Daniels? Remarkable. Seth Rogen was good too, I felt, but not on the level of the three previously mentioned.

This film was so unique to me in it's structure. The interweaving of the three different periods of the movie and how the film was so successful in putting many years of the life of Steve Jobs into three different segments.

Every year, my hope in the movie industry dies a little bit with the constant super hero and action movies taking over and controlling the market. But then, every year, there are about a group of 5-10 movies that rekindle my hope that cinema will not leave behind the talented people that remain capable of taking unbelievable scripts, and turning them into great movies.

Steve Jobs is one of the few movies to be released this year, that will keep my hope for cinema alive.

Such a good film they pulled it from all cinemas today. Clearly it was just too good ha ha ha. Even the fantastic flop stayed at the cinema for the duration it was meant too.

OP, I agree with you, I found the film thoroughly entertaining. I'd like to see Fassbender nominated as Best Actor come awards season. In my view, his portrayal of a very conflicted, sometimes rather unpleasant man was superb. Though Winslet's accent seemed a bit changeable, I still liked her humane performance very much. I thought the three-act structure of the film worked very well and I thought all the performances were very good indeed. Jeff Daniels is one of those actors who can always be relied upon to deliver.

Totally agree with you. Explosive exchanges, witty dialogs, impressive cinematography, compelling performances, perfect use of music to underline the dialogs, on point score and agreeable pace.

Boyle and Sorkin did an amazing job.

All in all 8/10. One of the best of the year hands down along with The Revenant (9/10), Creed (8/10) and Sicario (8/10).

People who don't like their beliefs being laughed at shouldn't have such funny beliefs

I wouldn't say it was incredible, but I did love it more than I expected to, and all the actors did a fantastic job.

I'm not a big fan of either Fassbender or Rogen, but both were very good here. Daniels is great as always, and Winslet was good too though I actually think she was the weakest of the main cast.

To me this movie has all the disadvantages of a overly intellectual movie while at the same time being incredibly shallow and frankly dumb.

Could not help to compare it to "Trumbo" movie and it was heaven and earth for me.
Now i can understand the desire for less superhero action movies and a movie were the characters actually talk, but the higher you aim the worse it goes when it crashes and burns.
Just not being a superhero action movie is not enough for me to give it a passing grade

Trumbo felt like a TV movie to me, not bad or anything, but I don't think it has anything really that interesting in it.

Granted I get Sorkin isn't for everyone, it's really a film dominated by his writing style and that could put someone off who doesn't dig it.

Thats intresting.
Movies really is such a matter of taste one mans favorite vanilla is another mans lukewarm puke taste.

It might be im starting to get little bit tired of this media obsession about jobs.

I loved this movie, even though some of the tech terms left me a little puzzled, I managed to get through it with enough understanding. The relationships in the film were amazing especially Jobs and Scully, Jobs and Joanna, Jobs and Lisa, etc. I enjoyed these relationships more than the technical part of the plot. Nice "job" director!
