worth a watch

After watching *beep* Baby (sorry about the beep, it won`t let me post the title of a work by Yoko Maki that roughly translates as 'I Love You Baby' for some reason - go figure), I was looking around for similar themes (josei genre) & came across this series at random.
The plot sounded intriguing so I thought I`d give the 1st ep a chance, & boy was I unprepared for just how beautiful (simplistic without being 'cartoon-ish) the animation is, despite already liking Production I.G.`s work.
This animated version (believe there`s a live-action adaptation, too, which I`m keeping an eye out for) is quite engrossing, without any major dramas/crises on a regular basis, nor is it 'fish-out-of-water'-style, either.
Sorry if that sounds boring, it`s because I don`t want to spoil it for anybody considering watching.
Now if only I could find it in an EngDub...(sigh)

Just caught it on Tubi. Surprisingly enjoyable. It's shallow but the watercolor palate was one of my favorite parts. Who needs a live version?

Heard the books get darker in later chapters. Not totally surprising, there's a lot of tension left hanging in the background of the show. But I'm curious if anyone can elaborate on that without spoilers.
