Solid Western-Style Movie

I watched this over a couple of nights because it’s a little long. This movie reminded me of an American-style Western in its good vs. evil, commitment to personal honor, and moral storytelling. The antagonist was an obnoxious wealthy member of the nobility class and was a little too over-the-top / one dimensional in his debauchery. But, the protagonist was a very cool character, a former battle-weary soldier, and a man of principle and implacable commitment. The actress who played the little girl was very convincing and the source of several lighthearted scenes to keep the movie from being too dark. Even the romance aspect had dramatic conflict. I recommend this one but you might want to break it up into a couple of viewings due to length
