Deserves a higher rating

Didn't think much of this movie when I first saw it 5 years ago and rated it a 6. Maybe I was expecting too much.

Re-watched it last night and thought it was actually very entertaining, with good action, visuals, cinematography, costumes and decent acting with some funny bits. The creatures were well designed too and were menacing enough. Extra points for not making the 2 leads have a romance.

Don't care for Hollyweird's Chinese pandering, but I liked how they used the wall to create a fantasy themed story. 7.5/10 easy - just sit back and enjoy this popcorn flick without expecting it to have the dialogues and depth of The Godfather.
