anyone remember the first trailer?

I was certain MCU had jumped the shark when the first announcement and concept art came out

I hadn't even heard of the Guardians before, but I knew, just KNEW, there was no way a talking raccoon would play on the big screen. And a TREE, f'crissakes?

My early skepticism drew a lot of flack, comic fans telling him how Rocket is one of the smartest characters in the Marvel-verse, which did NOT give me confidence.

And now ... the tree and raccoon turned out to be two of the MCU's most interesting characters.

Point being ... I vividly remember it all falling together with the Blue Swede trailer. I instantly "got it" and knew this was going to be an entertaining flick if not a great one (then I was proven wrong again, because it WAS great)

Anyone have a similar experience?
