A question on the strength parameter bonus...

I have looked all over the interwebs and cannot find an answer to this...

Most weapons have a parameter bonus letter grade rated from E-S(shown in the inventory screen-weapon information). I understand that this means that if you increase that parameter upon leveling up it increases the attack power of that weapon respectively.

I am currently weilding the Zweihander and noticed that after level 40 strength, the power of my weapon ceased to be affected by the stat.

Is level 40 the end of this benefit or is it based on each weapon?

I am speculating here, but it is possible that this is the difference between the letter grades. In other words, maybe a "C" parameter bonus allows a benefit of upto 40 strength and a "B" parameter bonus allows upto a 50 strength bonus.

The Zweihander also has a dexterity parameter bonus and I have started putting my points there and it is in fact increasing my damage.

Nah thats normal.

At around 40-50 in stats you will increase in each stat very slowly.

You are better off getting better equipment or upgrading.

Levelling up is not so important yet. In-fact the game will be harder on new game+ (if you are planning to do that).

So what should we start increasing, if we reach DEX = 40?
Should I stop increasing DEX in a dexterity build, and starting increasing my STR until it also reaches 40?
