I saw Steve in a movie! Dead Files fake?
The 2008 film Pride and Glory. If he is an actor, it's hard to watch the show and not doubt his credibility.

shareReal cops often appear in movies. The late Dennis Farina who made a career playing police officers was one for twenty years. So Steve may have been in a movie before leaving the force or shortly after. Doesn't mean he is a pro actor.
shareShort answer: you are an idiot.
I saw an actor named Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in a film called "Airplane". Is his career in the NBL faked?
A simple search on "Steve Di Schiavi" will reveal articles from reputable news sources that indicated he really had a career in law enforcement eg http://abcnews.go.com/US/story?id=96722&page=1
Gee, thanks Elwyn, I'm glad to know I'm an idiot! FFS, stop judging so harshly. It was just a question you smug @$$!
shareThere's no such thing as a stupid question but there are stupid people. Certainly, I am not blaming the question.
The question can't be blamed for not asking how many careers the average person will go through in a lifetime. Some people say 7; some researchers say double that. http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10001424052748704206804575468162805877990

Just a friendly suggestion.
Steve is a retired NYPD detective. He also currently lists himself as AN ACTOR. So, it seems he wanted to bust onto the acting scene after retiring from the NYPD. So yes, he is an actor. And who knows how credible the show is? I think we should take ALL "reality shows" (whether they're about the paranormal or the Kardashians - which is actually kind of the same thing) with a grain of salt. ;-)
