*SPOILERS* Were they actually...

were they actually in love at the end, or just "loved" each other as in good friends? I got the sense when Katie is still on that guy's dick and she goes "But I love her..." that she is definitely IN love with Lauren. That both of these girls are in total lesbian love with each other! But if thats the case, why not even a kiss between them at the end? It could have redeemed the somewhat mediocre comedy that this turned out to be :/

Ok thats what I figured they were going for, but that 1 scene where shes still having sex with the guy and then said she loves her, that made me really question it. Anyway it woulda been so hot to see those two kiss :X

I was talking to a friend on the phone recently. She said that when she was on vacation, she saw something really funny/gross and she immediately wanted to tell me about it. (She was without a phone...)

She told her daughter that, on the spot. It was so cute that she wanted to tell me right away about something that she was experiencing on vacation. Are we lesbians? She's in her 80's. I'm closer in age to her daughter. NO, we're not. Lesbians. At all.

Women do just sometimes think, 'I can't WAIT to tell X about this...' Even when having sex for the first time. Especially when sex with the guy has been a topic of conversation and intense anxiety.

I know girl friends who say they love each other all the time and call themselves soulmates it is the same here.

Im pretty sure they were just really good friends but the movie did have some lesbian undertones. I thought the scene where they're doing the three way with Seth Rogen stood out where they stop role playing and just start complimenting each other. I seriously thought they were going to start making out right there. If anything Lauren could be a lesbian (perhaps one of the many reasons she turns down Charlie in the end) and Katie could be bi (professing love for both Lauren and Sean)

Lauren turns down Charlie because he's an A**H***.

Funny thing - I think she uses those exact words describing him to his face.

No they were not lesbians but just good friends. They were making a tongue and cheek ending where they were on the phone with eachother-- they were acting and saying things dramatically that simulated a phone sex conversation "I want you so hard!" "I'm close... I'm coming... (I'm a block away)".
I thought it was a cute way to end an obviously light comedy.

It would have made the movie a lot more interesting.

The problem with a movie like this is finding the ending. They chose to go with their declaring themselves for one another, which has a couple problems. One is the ambiguity that you mentioned. The other is that words are easy to say; actions speak louder. It would have been much better if the two had to make some important choices where they gave up something because the other needed their help. That would have really shown us how they felt and made for a better film.
