Gervais intentionally mocks everyone and jokes about taboo subjects. There are some genuinely funny moments here and some jokes that don't really land. I don't think this is as funny as his previous comedy specials, but I still enjoyed most of it. My rating is a 7/10.

This seems to be a requirement nowadays for any comedian who's going to crack a joke at a "taboo" subject. i.e. "I'm going to do a bit now about *whatever*. Try to remember I'm a comedian, I don't really think this about *whatever*. I'm just making a joke..".
Makes me cringe watching them do that. It basically devalues the joke so much they may as well not bother...
Not really. He talks about the rules of comedy and his approach to humour, but he doesn't apologise for it.
