Why is everyone hating so hard?

I thought it was a fantastic movie. My only complaint was that the young Dawson looks nothing like James Marsden. Other than that I really enjoyed it. Everyone's so harsh.

I thought the movie was pretty solid but there seemed to be TOO many things happening particularly in the second half of the movie. Just when you think everything will work out along comes another curve ball.

Because CLICHE FEST.

I don't hate on it but I didn't like it. It had the vibe of Charlie St. Cloud and The lucky one, but I liked those better. It was kind of "the notebook" but with a bad ending. Don't get me wrong, I am not against "sad endings", I just found this particular one to be stupid and hard to believe with the heart thing that was completely out of place. People usually don't need a heart transplant after an accident and Dowson didn't seem to be deadly wounded. Also, there was not a strong connection between the actors, so they didn't make me feel any emotion or feel sorry when Dawson died. I was expecting to end with Dawson ending up like Tuck for Aron. I was expecting him to help the kid get out of the situation he was finding himself in before. It would have had more meaning, especially because of the respect and admiration Dowson had for Tuck. With that end, all Tuck's effort to save Dowson for that life he had and from his family seemed to be in vain.

I hated, hated, hated the ending. I have seen enough pain in my work... I despise it when writers create characters we grow to care about and then...

It was horrible!!! The fake crying, the worst actors ever, and I heard I was going to cry... Not even a little, I did cry at the waste of time but that was about it.

I totally agree with you. Like you said a waste of time. I have a really hard time not finishing a movie, no matter how bad, so I suffered through to the end (and oh, what an end! It was just too predictable to bring me to tears - and I cry at Hallmark commercials). I'm so glad it's over. Now I can enjoy Saturday Night Live that I have recorded:0) Melissa McCarthy is on this one - so funny!!!

The book has more action, violence, and suspense. The film is a disappointment. and I'm mad because the story was altered. Multiple characters missing and new characters added. They should change the title.

I agree with u, it was a fantastic movie, i liked it so much.
I expected that Dawson will die at the end of the movie and that was right,
i expected that Amanda will have a Dawson's child at the end of the movie, that child will be a daughter, so he saved her son and give her a daughter to ease her pain of loosing her first daughter but that was not right.

For me because it was a mixture between "The Notebook" and "Teenage Dirtbag"
so Dawson survived a lot and then dies with a shot in his right shoulder? and how did he get to donate his heart to Amanda's son? even the death of his friend was really weird to get shot in the center of his head like that!

It is never about what happened, it is only how you look at it!
