Loved this movie until... (Spoilers)

Until Dawson died and his heart went to her son. That part was a little too "like and share if you cried." Like a *beep* sob story that some 15 year old girl thought up.

So I'm just gonna act like that part didn't happen and they got back together.

Also I wish there had been more about Tuck in the movie. I didn't read the book, so I don't know if the book and movie line up well or not. But I felt like Tuck wasn't in the movie enough, and he was my favorite part of it all!

Right? It was exactly like something I dreamed up when I was a teenager. Way too sappy and overdone. I like the alternative ending a lot better.

I've never fooled anyone. I've let people fool themselves.

As soon as they said they had a heart, I knew who it came from. I needed a cry and it certainly provided it.

I could not agree more. And I decided to do the same as you. This is typical Nicholas Sparks though. His later books don't seem to believe in happy endings.

agreed that part was so over the top manipulative and ridiculous that its best to pretend it didn't happen.
