Yes. Voters have the responsibility to learn as much as they can about a potential Presidential contender.

Otherwise we'll get what we got in 2008.

Sure, it's the responsibility of the people to be properly educated about the candidates. This is why lying in political adds is perfectly legal - it's up to YOU to find out the truth.

Now, this only applies to candidates that you would ever consider voting for.

Palin?... Let me tell you why I don't need to see this film to know she's never going to gain my vote. HER TONE OF VOICE. She's remarkably condescending just about every time she opens her mouth publicly. She shows an inability to extrapolate bits of data into a logical conclusion. She forgets that ALL Americans are Americans. She panders to the rural "real" America, yet it's the metropolitan areas that bring in the revenue and are equally as real.

Finally, lack of any informed view. I've not heard a single solution oriented complaint from her, to date. She's got a lot of rhetoric, but not real solutions. What good is another one of those in political office, when we've already got too many.

Well put. Her rhetoric reminds me of the time that Arnold was first running for governor. If he won, there was a boatload of intelligent, savvy business people who would help "turn California around". I guess it was all rhetoric, smoke and mirrors, for his tenure in office did not seem to have any effect, other than producing expensive commercials with plenty of star power advocating a move to the state. Different vein, I know, but the same shell game in a different form.
