Racist and xenophobic show

This show is racist, xenophobic and presents Americans as being stupid, thuggish buffoons and Arab immigrants as being overly religious, unwilling to integrate into Norwegian culture and having bigoted, conservative attitudes.

Norwegians on the other hand are mostly presented as being intelligent, level-headed and as being hard done by for being expected to put up with all these thuggish, ignorant foreigners that come to live in Norway.

This show seems to take the angle that immigrants are basically a burden on Norwegian society and offer nothing to Norway as a country.

I am British and I can't imagine the BBC making a show like this because it would be considered racist to portray foreigners in that way.

Quite a brazen comment from someone with DeutschlandUberAlles nickname.
I suggest you relax your Limey @$$. It's a comedy, not a documentary. Besides, there are plenty of similar shows in the UK, Little Britain and Goodness Gracious Me for example.

How are all of those muslims blending into the British culture over there? How's that working out?

reply

They love it. They're raping tons and tons of women and British men are too cowardly and afraid to punish them for fear of being called "racist."

The irony is that the feminists are defending them, even the Muslim rape gangs who are responsible for 28% of rapes in England even though Muslims only make up 5% of the population.

Bravo Europe!

If you would stop taking lysergic acid diethylamide, you may see the real Lilyhammer TV series.

If you haven't caught this by now, you never will. Frank (aka Johnny) is the smartest guy in any room. He's the American gangster who seems to know how to solve any problem the locals have with his street smart intelligence.

I don't know what series you've been watching on psychedelic drugs, but Frank's "cronies" from Norway are no smarter than a bunch of drunk rednecks from Alabama. I don't see how this show portrays Norwegians in any positive light except for the ex-wife teacher who with Frank produced twins.

Of course you're probably just a troll, therefore I wasted two minutes of my life.

Torgier, Roar, Arne & Roy intelligent? Not sure what you're watching or whereabouts in Britain you're from but if they're beacons of intelligence where you're from I'd seriously consider moving house. Unless you think the British characters in the show are accurate too?

What's orange and sounds like a parrot?
A Carrot.

And you're maybe presenting the Brits as PC-militants who still think they need to teach how other people should live. Norwegians however would say to Brits that paedophilia, drugs and incest are still crimes, even if for BBC they probably are considered just some ordinary 'hobby' everyone does.

Reality television spoils fiction.

I'm an American, and I think it's great. It's not a documentary, it's entertainment. And good entertainment too. Besides, I didn't think they represented Americans in a bad way at all.

reply

Naw - just a good funny show.
