They made Katniss really slow about realizing everything for no reason

It's weird how she's very slow in catching everything Snow was doing. Acting like she didn't understand why Peeta was saying the stuff he was saying on TV when it was obvious because he was forced to. And then to come to the realization that Snow is taunting her with Peeta and saying he took Peeta to get back at Katniss. Of course that's why he did it! Why else would he take Peeta? Peeta had no use in the games other than to make sure Katniss was safe.
