Neo-cons must hate this movie.

That is, if any of them bothered to watch it.

It certainly doesn't do anything to perpetuate the stereotype of the system grubbing Arab, let alone the notion that they are all jihadists who "hate us for our freedoms". Whatever that inane soundbite is suppposed to mean.

While the plot line is definitely contrived to assure the unlikely outcome, it is still a very satisfying movie if only for the rare depiction of a sympathetic Muslim.

I'm a liberal and I hate the film.

And I'm pretty sure no one thinks that terrorists hate for simply "freedoms". You're taking it out of context, just like some dishonest stereotype that Fox News would do.

Sympathetic Muslims exist in thousands of movies. But none of them more obviously constructed for political propaganda where all sorts of terrible things happen to this lovely innocent Muslim guy.

Movies like this are an embarrassment to immigrants, liberals, and everyone else who has some common sense and can recognize propaganda when you see it. This movie is just the sort of thing Fox News would show to its viewers about how cheesy liberals see the world.

It's shameful and embarrassing.

Formulaic movie about a sympathetic Muslim man, who's heroic and innocent, and acts as a punching bag for evil dirty Americans who are mostly all racist and jerks. What bs.

Oh,really? Stop fronting like you're a liberal, because you're not. And when's the last time you actually saw a film about a Muslim protagonist who wasn't a terrorist? Couldn't think of one, could you? I thought so. Also, the film was made by an immigrant-turned-American citizen. I admit the film is simplistic and it was clearly trying to be non-controversial, but that didn't make it a bad movie. And,let's be real---there's no way in hell Fox News would have anything to do with a film like this, because it actually shows an Arab who's the good guy for a change. And the director's an immigrant BTW, who based this film on some of his experiences---do the research, please, and stop trying to dictate what the hell liberals or anybody else should think about what they see.

Are they supposed to love lies then?
