Evidently I'm the only person...

Alive who thought this movie sucked! Acting was good, but the film was a snoozefest. I remember after watching it that I was disappointed because I thought it would become intersting toward the end. Just a completely boring and dull movie.

There is always one person who thinks a good film sucks,
always one...

reply

I guess with Mud, that one person is me... oh well

reply

you are not the only person

i did not like it at all

slow and uninteresting

reply

Well, I had never heard of it and went into it with absolutely no preconceptions, so was completely charmed by it.

It's really the story of the boy, plus his friend and Mud. If looked at from that point of view, perhaps it makes it more tolerable for some.

reply

Dallas Buyers Club is better.

reply

this was a lot better then dallas buyers club, dallas buyers club was 10 times more boring and slower then this movie

reply

To each his own, but I thought it got very lively at the end!

It wasn't supposed to be an action flick. It was very good as a quiet study of people doing what they did in that story.

reply

It was definitely quiet. I understand it wasn't supposed to be an action flick, but it was so uninteresting IMO

reply

Yes, you're the only one with bad taste.

reply

Typical IMDB troll, give an honest opinion and the idiots with insults come out.

You should watch Magic Mike to wet your appetite. Matthew will make you happy in that movie since you don't like this one. It is a more manly movie for manly men.

reply

What the hell are you talking about?

reply

Most people haven't seen it, just stick with Bay movies.

reply

I'm with the OP- this incredibly lame movie was a total waste of time- like someone said in another thread- nothing....ever......happened

and just because someone says a movie sucks, doesn't necessarily mean they're a troll

reply

You are NOT the only person who thought that. I was really looking forward to this movie and thought it would be really good but it was SO slow moving and went exactly...well...nowhere for me. I appreciate the acting and the beautiful scenery but thought it needed more interesting scenes or a big payoff at least. Not for me...

reply

I felt the exact same way. Great acting and cinematography, but the story was too simple and short to warrant a movie this long.

reply

You are not alone.

Excellent actors, great setting, great-looking movie -- yet, ultimately very slow, very meandering story and no real drama to speak of. I mean, c'mon! the story goes no where. Unless you buy the shootout with the psycho-family. Maybe if they'd set it in the 1930's? missed opportunity...
