Is Colorado Springs 90% Black?

Based on this show you would think so.

Well, the show is shot in Tennessee where a lot of Black folks live and are hired for the parts of the victims and perps. It's also why most of the supporting characters speak w/Southern accents.

reply

Season 1 was shot in California. All others in Colorado.

Are you not aware that black people commit crime at a rate beyond their actual percentage of the population? Not racism, just a fact. A very sad fact.

reply

Apparently not. I'm surprised no one has called you a racist yet, since people love throwing that word around. Of course, it doesn't hold any water now, as it has been played the f__k out over the last eight years.

reply

Facts are racist these days.

I’m glad I’m not the only one who was wondering about that.

There are some areas of the country that don’t have that many Americans of African decent. Colorado Springs seems to me to be one of those places. Always struck me as very odd that the demographic makeup of Colorado Springs was this heavily black especially in the time period that the show is mostly set; the 1970s and 1980s.

reply

Colorado Springs is only 6% black but I would bet that 50% of the murders are committed by blacks.

I think the show tries to be honest about perps and victims.
