Nadine and Krista at the end. SPOILER WARNING

Do you think that Krista really wanted to maintain her friendship with Nadine at first before their falling out? I know that Nadine was upset at her dating Darian, but with the way Krista said that she missed Nadine and how she wanted to go along with Darian to find her, it seemed that she still cared about Nadine and never wanted to break away from her. What do you think?

I don't think she wanted to end her friendship with Nadine. She probably didn't expect Nadine to react the way she did and wanted to give her some space, hoping that eventually she would calm down and they could work things out.

She definitely didn't want it to end. Nadine was just being difficult.

Krista never wanted to stop being friends with Nadine.

Having just seen this flick, as my first(and only previous post in my "I enjoyed it").. thread mentions, I'll put in this..I noticed that despite the surprising happy ending,. there's no showing of Krista...I loved the firendship in that bitterseet world (not just a teen thing if you notice most of the others..)

You're right I think what this movie lacks is a resolution with Krista's character. The ending left me uninterested although I really liked the rest of the movie up til the ending. Krista had been introduced first and was a very important character, and then they just left her aside. The only thing we got was ''I'll call you later'' which is really weak. I would have liked for them to show they are friends again..

reply

Yes, the resolution was when she came back to wish both Krista and Darian a great day too, then Krista says "Can I call you later?" and she says yes. And then Krista tells Darian "That went well. I've really missed her".

You don't need a long drawn out scene in private where one says "I'm sorry I was a jerk." and the other says "No, it was my fault. I should've been more understanding and sensitive."

I think the point of the ending was to indicate that Nadine was accepting of their relationship in the end. That was my first impression anyway.

That's what I took away from it as well.
