Would the stakes be any different?

Seems like it'd be a better movie overall. Not necessarily a better Spider-Man movie, but just a better movie.

Like "The Amazing Peter Parker" or something. I dunno. Just a thought.

Yeap, the character is incredibly unrealistic, they wanted the typical "underdog becomes a villain" but I don't buy it

Agreed. Max's character made zero sense. Not to mention he vanishes for a big portion of the movie so Peter can deal with the other 14 plot-lines.
