Anyone Else Not Buying Alex's "It Was My Idea".

I'm not buying it. Any good show, doesn't end it's series like this. Even a cartoon for kids. Either he is serious and out of his mind or Disney is forcing him to end it. Disney has had trouble with consistent airings. They have been very spotty on when something will air, which is not very good business. Maybe Alex needs time off, so he is going to end GF and take that time. Maybe he is frustrated with how Disney has been airing shows. What do you guys think?

There was a Nerdist podcast episode with Alex Hirsch and J.G. Quintel I listened to in 2013. During the episode, Alex said he had the whole story mapped out in advance, and he knew when he would end the story (http://nerdist.com/nerdist-writers-panel-97-j-g-quintel-and-alex-hirsch/).

In closing, I was forewarned about the show ending. I will miss it, though.

personally I think the Alex borrowed too freely from the freemasonic religion and they got pissed and probably forcing it shut down.

anyone who knows anything about freemasonry knows all the pieces gravity falls was emulating.

How do you borrow from a secret society? Is he a freemason?

Nah! Alex's made it pretty clear that he mapped out the Gravity Falls story from beginning to end. It was never meant to go beyond 3 seasons.

Many people opt for shorter shows so they don't fall into obscurity. Off the top of my head Ricky Gervais is one. Hell I do the same. Why drag something out for seasons...When you can tell a nice thought provoking story in a manner of 2 or 3. I would've gotten bored with it if it went on any longer. I could use more Standford but what more could they do? Another Bill appearance, another Gideon betrayal, them discovering more creatures (which Standford seemed to have discovered them all) Introduce a being more powerful than Bill? Then Bill lose his impact. He did the right thing.

I wish I can go back in time and pinch those chubby little cheeks and tell you nothing will be ok.
