american accent?

The worst, most distracting, accent ever. In one sentence from the flattest of vowels to full on Brit.

Michael Caine is such a talented actor, that he could have dialogued this movie in Swahili and it would have come out as well (with English subtitles!).

I always chuckle to myself when certain people get overly bent out of shape by a non-authentic accent. I noticed it but it didn't hinder my enjoyment of the movie in any way. Caine is perfect for the role so it is a non-issue.

Anyone remember Cary Grant? He was English but developed his own accent that was neither American or English and he had a pretty good film career!
