It's about......

(my guess)

Purgatory

"When two bus crash survivors awake to discover that they are the only people left in their small town, they must form an unlikely alliance in a race to unravel the truth behind their isolation. As strange events begin to unfold, they start to question whether the town they know so well is really what it seems"

Seems likely with the movie title ("After") that it's about the afterlife, the bus survivors are really dead and likely to be in the state b4 hell or heaven, aka Purgatory. Perhaps there actions here will result in one going to heaven and the other going to hell.

"However, if this purification is not achieved in life, venial sins can still be purified after death. The specific name given to this purification of sin after death is "purgatory"

reply

yeah it's almost too obvious. hopefully there'll be a twist or something...

Doubt it....

Today's screenwriters lack the philosophical maturity it would take to create a compelling story of purgatory. The engine of Hollywood runs on perpetual adolescence. Alas, this is going to be another zombie/vampire/monster movie.

exactly lol, I literally came here to the board for this movie to say this. The trailer and plot synopsis pretty much screams they are dead lol

reply

I would consider going to see this in theaters if it wasn't almost a guarantee that the "twist" is that they're dead all along.

They mostly meet me at the waterfront after the social... mostly.

I already made a movie that looked exactly like this. It was the first film I ever made, while I was in high school, on a crappy miniDV camera. This is the kind of crap that people write when they just start at writing.

I'm completely baffled as to how this ever got made on this scale! Looks terrible and obvious.

reply

It actually is a pretty good movie.

reply

Hey! Curious if you ever watched the movie, being that it's a year and a half later? You obviously never watched it before you made that idiot comment I am responding to. Care to update us?

(my guess)

Sometime somewhere on the internet someone posted that it's bad taste to "retrieve" old threads. Nobody knows why. Like the internet has a time limit or something. A really odd mindset; an idea that may be stored forever should not be timeless, but should only be treated like day old bread. Where an idea dies along with the original poster - even if the idea is still written, available, and relevant. Some people have a strong belief value about this, even when proof to the contrary hits them in the face - every day is a brand new day and only exists with them in it.

Wow, are you working on a thesis around necro-posting or something? That's quite a lot of articulation on the subject! :)

What can I say? You inspired me.
