please let me know as most of the indian movies are ridiculous replicas of foreign movies so i want to watch the original one just to avoid wasting my time over this one.

The ghost angle was brought just to be different but spoilt the mood totally.
I think this is an original but i didn't think it was great.

Talaash is not copied from any movie. So go watch it and then come here and post about how you thought it was, instead of posting these ridiculous opinions of yours.

Anyway, teh explanation is as follows -
I must say that the similarities are not limited to talking to a ghost only, it carries on and on as I am gonnna enumerate below -
1) Using the help of a ghost to solve the case - Here its Kareena helping Aamir; there it was Bruce Willis helping Haley Osment.
2) The main character was himself delusional - Here it was Aamir and there it was Willis.
3) The ghosts have been cleverly disguised in a similar way in both the movies - Willis was also never shown to be directly interacting with anyone except with Osment; you can easily make a similar connection here as well.
4) The Ghost carries out his unfulfilled wish through the protagonist - Nothing to explain here.
The ending of Talaash is similar to this Chinese film called: The Detective 2007

I see some similarities in plot between it and Klute. However, I haven't seen Talaash so I can't be sure.
