Tried to pull off a "Before sunrise" but failed...

Before Sunrise is not my type of films, but I recognize it was very well made and that the long conversation scenes portrayed pretty well the characters. In this one, they tried to portray Aubry as deep, but it felt forced instead, just as if she was reading a screenplay. I don't feel it worked.
