Another nonsensical moment in a sea of nonsensical moments

I know that just about everything in this movie this movie is complete dross, but perhaps what perplexed me the most was the scene after Hole finds Chloe Sevigny's dead body and hearing "Popcorn" playing on her stereo in her house. Now when he get's back to his apartment and finds the guy quarantining his house (presumably the same guy from the beginning), dancing like an idiot and listening to the SAME SONG as before, shouldn't the alarm bells be ringing in Holes head right about now? He just witnessed the aftermath of a murder where that song was just playing and this killer is clearly known for taunting police during their investigations.

I know the director has stated that entire scenes were not even filmed because of various reasons but how the hell can you even explain that in another scene, that Hole was too stupid or drunk to realise that the killer was probably in his house taunting him and he just dismissed it entirely.
