i just watched this film and thought it was pretty intense however maybe cuz i kept getting interupted i might of missed a few things..

1.when they brought the spiritual dude to channel spirits or whatever it is what he does he was there one minute then gone..but the young girl was at the table gets possessed and flips out..what happened with the spiritual guy???did i miss something..??

2.i usually figure out a film within the first 20 minutes..im still not sure what happened in the end..the dr tries to chalk it up as a poltergiest but then theres a ghost in the end scene..
was the dr wrong..?? was it a ghost all along..

3.did the husband whack the wife out..??dr said he was going to the police dept i guess to let them know what he found..??

4.who in the heck was that ghost..the ex wife??did they clarify??

5.how come the paranormal team solved the murder..wouldnt police investigators have an easy time with this case..??some insane percentage when a spouse dies they immediately question the surviving spouse..the guy was weak..a few good detectives could of broke that guy with ease..

overall i liked the film but i wasnt able to give it my full attention..maybe i should watch it again but i guess ill take the easy road and just ask what the hell happened..

I have exactly the same questions.... spirit channeling dude seemed to pop up out of no-where, also WTF was the pixilated machine all about? If anyone can enlighten me then I'd 'preciate it....

Otherwise, a good movie, I'd recommend it to others.

I thought the part with the psychic was the funniest part. He looked like the dad but if he was going to a seventies party.

As for your questions the only thing I'm pretty sure of is the father did not kill the wife but I think he was wrong with some of his other assumptions. He kind of explained it in the part when he said " you can't give a wholesale answer to these types of things." What ever I definitely jumped in a few scenes.

1)Spiritual dude takes off after the the seance. The mention him the next day at the end of breakfast which was a bit strange.

2)The Doctor was wrong.

3)The husband didn't kill the wife, she got in a car accident going after the husband and kids.

4)Wife

5)There was no murder

I'm confused as well, does that mean the wife/mother is evil? Why would a wife/mother want to haunt the family and hurt them?

so thats it..?? the mother is haunting her own kids...??/i know the husband said she was a bitch and a whore to boot but was she really that bad that she'd come back to terrorize her own kids..
pretty good scares in this film but where i usually get it..i dont quite get it..maybe your not supposed to...

I liked how the ghost mom was trying to get in her daughters panties while she slept. Mmmmmmm...hot.

What I want to know is what did they mean by "schizophrenic" did they mean the real condition or what everyone thinks it is? Dissociative Identity Disorder? The condition the husband described sounded like Bipolarism to me so idk what they were talking about. Anyway, once the mom became a ghost, I think it was acting crazy, whichever crazy they were trying to go for, mostly DID for me. I think that perhaps the father had abused the girl and it drove the mom to the edge. As a ghost the mom tried to point out the act but she didn't know how and became the "personality" that represented the father but also tried to protect her. She ended up attacking her daughter and then would try to protect her. Literally acting like different people such as a person with DID would; it would also explain the "there are many of us" statement while she possessed the girl.

thats pretty good lecielazteque...all good points that make sense..i understand that the viewer should be able to figure things out for themselves..i appreciate that..but sometimes everythings just way to vague case in point "take shelter" or "martha marcy may marlene" both phenomenal films but such extremely ambiguous endings that kill it for alot of folks..
this is kinda similar..i am not asking for everything to be explained uo 100% with a big red bow..just something to go on so i can make my own conclusions..
your conclusions seem pretty good though..thanks

1- The seance fella left road off-screen.

2- I too don’t really know what to make of the doctor. It’s clear that there is a ghost, with all the evidence (deleted photos, the strobe light, the moving furniture, the seance , etc). But then the doctor talks about schizophrenia and such. I don’t get it.

3- I think he hit his wife one time when he caught her with another guy. Then he took off with the kids. The wife killed herself in a car accident or something?

4 - I think it’s the ex-wife. The ghost is obviously a woman.

5- no murder. The husband didn’t kill the wife. And nobody else died.
