Question about the MLP Movie in 2017

With the MLP Movie coming out in 2017, there's something that bugs me about it.

Are some of the main characters or fan favorite characters are going to get killed off and be replaced by new characters for a new season after the movie?

I mean, look back at Transformers 1986: A lot of characters from Seasons 1 and 2 were killed off and were replaced by new characters for Season 3 and 4. Some of those characters were fan favorites like Optimus Prime, Iron Hide, StarScream, Brawn, and among others. Originally, Optimus Prime was meant to be injured and make a return in the series and that Duke from G.I. Joe was supposed to die in the G.I. Joe movie. However, that changed. Duke lived and Prime dies.

So what do you guys think? Do you really think that would happen?

No. They aren't going to directly address death in MLP. Someone said it is written for an older audience. True, but it's still written to be appropriate for young girls. You can expect new characters to be introduced, villians and protagonists. It appears there will be merponies.
