Great movie that shows what can be done on a small budget

I really enjoyed Sound of My Voice and, considering it was made for only $135,000, it really shows what can be done with a small budget. Had they used less experienced actors who didn't demand a decent salary then it could've been made even more cheaply.

To me, it's a great example of "high concept, low budget." It shows that as long as you have the right IDEA then you can make a film that's more interesting than most of what Hollywood is putting out and do it for a fraction of the budget. The idea is everything.

My other go-to high-concept, low-budget example is Primer, made for only $7,000. What's interesting is that both films deal with time travel.
