for those that saw both this and Another Earth...

While this was quite similar to Happy Accidents (and K-PAX in a way), I thought it was done pretty well. Another Earth was flawed, but very interesting as well.

Both got 7/10 from me.

I liked them both. Another Earth is my favorite, but this was good, too.

i didn't particularly liked any of them, Another Earth was atleast watchable, this i thought was awful 3/10




so many movies, so little time

I have seen both of these twice and will be seeing SOUND again today with my film appreciation class. All my film students have loved THE EAST and that is my favorite. Thus far, I've only shown I ORIGINS to a single class, but only had one student complaint. (I've seen it twice now.) Something about Brit Marling films--perhaps their humanity, perhaps her own aura as a latter-day Barbara Stanwyck intelligent blond--touches me deeply about her films. While I did feel short-changed on the script to SOUND on the second viewing, I feel compelled to see it again in context of her recent work. 👀

I loved them both. However, I showed them both to my mom and she disliked Another Earth and loved Sound of My Voice.
