Thanks for the link, Alachua.  I liked her book too. Exposed a lot about that cult and the harm it causes families.

I read Leah Remini's biography and she talked about Julie Chen in a chapter about The Talk. Leah said that everyone is scared of Julie because she's married to the president of CBS.

On The Talk, Julie was supposed to be the "boss" but Leah would have ideas and suggest things. Julie didn't like this and Holly would back up Leah. Sharon Osbourne backed up Julie. Sharon called Holly "ghetto".

Leah also demanded the ladies get things like hair and makeup paid for when they did appearances on other shows (because King of Queens had paid for her stuff). CBS had been making them pay for their own stuff.

They all had one big blow up involving Sharon Osbourne and Leah. Leah had sent an e-mail to all the ladies about behind the scenes issues. Sharon yelled at Leah for acting like a producer when she was "really a nobody". Leah started to cry and Holly was the only one who left with her to comfort her.

Shortly after this blow up, Julie fired both Holly and Leah.

Leah said she intentionally left out names and details to protect certain people who still work for CBS.

It's true that Sharon called Holly and Leah "ghetto" but the people behind the scenes were afraid of Sharon more than Julie. Sharon and Julie hated each other most of the Talk's first season and it wasn't until the end of it that they joined forces and got rid of Holly and Leah.

Also Sharon wanted CBS to pay for her entire hair and makeup team to fly with her to do the NY Upftonts despite the fact that the network had FREE hair and makeup services available.

Leah said she didn't reveal more because she knew she'd be no better than those who wronged her. It wasn't about protecting anyone.

Other than those things, the other stuff is pretty accurate.
