So why did Snow White awaken from the huntsman's kiss but didnt from Prince Williams?, what was so special about the huntsman?.
Also how come when she awoke, she turned into this very fiesty and valiant battle leader all of a sudden, when before all that she was as placid as anything and wouldent hurt a fly?.
This is just a theory/guess so feel free to totally disagree.
William's feelings for SW where not pure and not about who she really was. He'd been fantasising about her from her childhood image and his feelings of guilt about leaving her behind.
The Huntsman's feelings seem to have quietly been growning once he got to know the real SW and appreciate her for her qualities.
Also William just planted a kiss straight on her without any lead up, whereas the Huntsman gave that beautiful and heartfelt speech about her himself and his respect for her.
It sounds like good logical theory though, just that the movie never made it clear as to why this was.
I guess aswell it broke away from the traditional concepts of fairytales whenever it comes to female protagonists being brought out of a sleep or curse.....they are brought out of it from being kissed by a handsome prince, and not a rugged peasent lol.
From what I've heard the original script had more dialogue and interaction between SW and the Huntsman. So this probably would have made more sense of the kiss.
I think the magical life-giving kiss has to have the right feelings behind it in traditional fairy tales too. Even if they did glam-up the hero in the old stories.
I think it was a coincidence. I don't think his kiss is what awakened her. I don't think either kiss could have woken her up. I feel like she woke up on her own, being more powerful than Ravenna, and her waking up shortly after Eric kissed her was purely coincidental. For the record, I also don't think Snow White and the Huntsman are in love with one another. I honestly think that Snow White and William are in love, and that those who insist she loves Eric and he loves her are blinded by Chris Hemsworth's star power...
