Was Kristen Stewart REALLY the best they could do?

I'm not like a big time Kristen Stewart hater, but to put it plainly- she wasn't appealing in this movie acting-wise or looks-wise. Not that she was bad in either aspect but when the title is SNOW WHITE and the Huntsman and the queen shows up Snow White in every way, that's a problem. She did a decent job but couldn't they have found an actor who could do a GREAT job? And wouldn't totally disappear next to Charlize?

after years of "TV acting" where none of it really matters, and 2 takes are the most they have time for, Kristen seemed a bit out of her depth in the film

She isn't appealing 'looks-wise' in any movie..

I agree as well, I didn't knew what kind of comments I will read, just finished the movie and I personally am all about female power and being a hero and stuff but the truth is she didn't deliver at all!

I think the script as other said could have been better, but still a good actor can deliver even in bad movies.
Chris Hemsworth seemed to enjoy being there, playing the super male savior hero,
Charlize Theron gives those death looks and she is gorgeous, Kristen was not.
She cannot be convincing as more beautiful than Theron, she is not that beautiful, she was perfect for Twilight, she cannot convist me that she has this "inner" light that can make trees blossom, she still looks like a depressed vamp kid and she has the same cute pie goth face in almost the entire movie. She doesn't have many expressions.
She didn't deliver at the battle scene and the scene where she tries to look fierce riding the horse, was embarrassing. The only scene I kind of like was after she was brought back to life, where she talks to the soldiers in some parts she yells, she kinds of tries to deliver little better. I think she can be a good actress, I think it is psychological, I doubt she truly believes in her self to be one of the best out there and if she sleeps around to get roles, I think that's the reason. Lack of self worth and you can see it at her acting.

Someone comment that some other actresses that could be better choice are "too" old for this part? with special make up, in all honesty they can look like kids again! Kristen at the final scene where she is being crowned, she looked like a 30 year old!
Leonardo Di Caprio was 28 when he played Catch me if You can and he played a teenager! I was seeing his wrinkles under his eyes very clearly during that movie in some scenes! The real age of an actor these days doesn't play much role anymore as long the actor can deliver!

I thought of one actress that could deliver and she can actually act, Emilia Clarke, she looks pure enough and at the same time powerful and fierce. strategic and she can convicts you that she can lead an army to their deaths! Actually a brunette Emilia Clarke is Gorgeous! I think she could be one of the best choices out there.

I am watching this movie in 2016 and I could not stop myself writing something on this issue. The casting director was blind for sure. Who thinks of Kristine Stewart when one thinks about fairest of all. She is not a beauty by any stretch of imagination and she can't act. Even Charlize Theron was a better choice for her role.

I did not like Stewart.I find her tedious, static and with the same boring look in most of scenes..She was an awful Snowhite..I enjoyed more the Snowhite played by Lily Collins, she was prettier ,sweet and fit better for the character.

I liked Kristen as Bella but I dont see her as Snowhite..I think she breaks the image of the real Snowhite in this movie and kills the magic because she acts a bit cold, I mean,I never saw her sweet, lovely, showing emotions..She always had that face like if she needed to go to the toilet..Really it was disgusting..
And the story with prince William was a waste, she acted really grey and tedious with him, like she did not care but she had to handle...

I wish they had chosen a different actress.I dont get what they saw in Kristen to play Snowhite.I am sure there are better options than this girl..

While I don't think Kristen Stewart is totally unattractive, she was not really believable being cast to play a character that was supposed to be "fairest of them all".

Also, most of the time she acted like Bella, but though I had watched many versions of Snow White, I had never associated the character with teen angst.
