Why the fck!


Why was it called, "Looney Tunes"? They're not fckn cartoons about songs. They're fckn carTOONS!! They're looney cartoons!!!

Looney Toons" is what it should be called. Zemeckis had it right, (as usual), when he emphasised the "TOONS", (short for "CARTOONS")

Still, they're the best cartunes ever... (see how stupid it looks?)

They were called "Looney Tunes" (and "Merry Melodies") because when they started in the early 30s, they were heavily musical and partly intended to sell Warner Bros library of records and sheet music. The cartoons changed a lot over the course of the 30s and beyond, but the names stuck.
