Is every life REALLY beautiful?

I can't help but ask the producers and fans of this movie two simple questions

1. Will you still find that human life beautiful if the human life is gay?

2. Will you still find that human life beautiful if your child, brother, sister, father or stranger commits a crime that the state of Alabama decides is deserving of the death penalty? Why is that life not equally as beautiful? Which, brings me to my greater question - how can so many that are anti-abortion be also pro-death penalty? The disconnect and the irony is astounding.

Until they can honestly answer those questions, I have a difficult time supporting the film.

I wonder if they can honestly answer that they would view those lives in the scenarios written above as beautiful, based upon their upbrining. Here is a link to an article about the father of the two brothers that wrote/directed the film.

I don't support the death penalty but maybe because the criminal has a choice? He knows the punishment before committing the crime (unless he is innocent which is a huge reason I don't like it) The baby doesn't have a choice and sometimes neither does the baby's father.

I'm pro choice for others but personally I would never kill my baby. I would use birth control and if it failed then I would have it. If I was raped (which I was) I still wouldn't kill the baby. That is just me though.

If my 13 year old daughter was raped and pregnant I don't know what I would do. But then I don't have children right now.

Wow .. the movie obviously brings up so many strong emotions.. But the answers are.. Will you still find that human life beautiful if the human life is gay ? Yes .. Will you still find that human life beautiful if your child, brother, sister, father or stranger commits a crime that the state of Alabama decides is deserving of the death penalty ? Yes, and if the penalty for such a crime is, as stated, yes the life is beautiful, but if you feel the penalty is wrong, you need to get off your ass and agitate to change the legislation or leave. Why is the life not equally as beautiful ? It is..How can so many that are anti-abortion be also pro death penalty ? Well , in an abortion.. a total innocent is killed .. and in the second case ..if an individual breaks the law in a state or country that specifically legislates to kill someone as punishment for killing another person..then that person is just as likely to be killed... the world is a much bigger place than just Alabama ..over 40 million pre term humans are killed worldwide each year..so this movie has repercussions in many more states and countries than just Alabama.. It is your right "southern gal".. to travel this wonderful world and see that the laws in one place don't necessarily apply every where else.. I highly recommend broadening your horizons.. strange how humans have just one chance to create life.. but we seem to revel in the devising of ways of killing off that life..

I know this is an old thread, but I've just re-watched the film, so I thought I'd answer your questions. Do I find human life beautiful if that life is gay? Well, I don't believe gay is something anyone is. I believe it's something people choose to do. The so-called "gay person" is still a beautiful person made in the image of God, but if they choose to engage in homosexual acts, I believe they're choosing to do something wrong. It doesn't mean I hate them, or I'm against them as people; I just believe what they do is wrong.

To answer your last question, about why so many who are anti-abortion are pro-death penalty--the reason that people are against abortion is that they believe it's wrong to kill an innocent human being. Whether or not it's right to take the life of a guilty human being is a completely different and largely unrelated question.

Yes, every life is valuable and beautiful to the person living it. There is no use arguing the point about depression, suicide, and other self-destruction. These are deviations. The norm is to value your own life, which will come to light when a gun is shoved in your face.

People who get dealth penalty deserves it.... People who get aborted does not. They are the victim
