Is every life REALLY beautiful?
I can't help but ask the producers and fans of this movie two simple questions
1. Will you still find that human life beautiful if the human life is gay?
2. Will you still find that human life beautiful if your child, brother, sister, father or stranger commits a crime that the state of Alabama decides is deserving of the death penalty? Why is that life not equally as beautiful? Which, brings me to my greater question - how can so many that are anti-abortion be also pro-death penalty? The disconnect and the irony is astounding.
Until they can honestly answer those questions, I have a difficult time supporting the film.
I wonder if they can honestly answer that they would view those lives in the scenarios written above as beautiful, based upon their upbrining. Here is a link to an article about the father of the two brothers that wrote/directed the film.
