Solid TV Western...be a great series

Excellent. Wish they'd make this a series. Luke Perry was likable and believable. He reminded me a bit of Kevin Kline in Silverado.

Kudos as well to Jason Priestly for solid direction. Yes, you read that sentence correctly....

The direction wasn't the problem. It was the writing. The story and dialog were terrible. Of course it was a Hallmark film so I didn't expect anything less syrupy, perhaps if I was a lonely fat white middle aged woman with a poor grasp of history these flaws would have faded into the background.

i think all mental energy was spent after the crafty title creation. tho, can you blame them? you see the character's last name is goodnight. it's not goodnight like there will be no more justice. not in these parts. no sir! he is justice! very clever. i hope they make a sequel. many options-

goodnight for scallywaggin'
goodnight for ramblin' monologues
goodnight for barbecue
goodnight for gavels

Oh, and remember, next Friday is Hawaiian shirt day.

I don't know if it's true, but, they're supposed to be making a second one. I hope so.

reply

Well they have filmed a second movie and the third movie has turned into a tv series

reply

I sure hope that's true. No, they're not Oscar worthy, but I do love these movies. Luke Perry and his character are very likeable.

reply

Well they changed their minds and are back to having just the movies. My son had a wonderful time filming with Luke Perry

reply

Yes I heard perry was a VERY nice person. Watched the movie--again. probably does resonate today.
