For me, it's Merritt Wever (recently won an Emmy for 2nd lead in Nurse Jackie); not coincidentally, she played Gerwig's sister in Greenberg. Gerwig seems to give an emulation of Merritt's ditziness, but I feel like Gerwig is coasting more on her looks. Wever gives more heartfelt performances.

Please don't berate me because they do not have a close physical resemblance. It's more in the mannerisms. It's like Jenna Elfman, who will always just be a pale imitation of Lauren Graham to me...

Is it only me? But she totally reminds me of Jake Gyllenhaal. When I saw her first, I thought she was the female version of him. Now, she's become one of my favourite actresses, and it's become that Jake Gyllenhaal reminds me of Greta Gerwig, instead of the other way round.

Greta is a perfect mix of Catherine Deneuve, Sean Young, Elisabeth Shue and the late Brittany Murphy, all specially beautiful and sensual women. She is a great talent actress as well.

Omg! I thought the same thing when the film started. She reminded me of Amy Adams throughout the movie. However, after reading through this thread, I agree that she resembles Alicia Silverstone a bit. I think both Amy Adams and Alicia Silverstone.
