Question about the little girl SPOILERS

Why did she murder the little girl ? Obviously she was crazy & or possessed, but was it a reaction to her husband and the mother - 'you've taken my only good thing, so I'll take yours' situation, or her dad/demon just wanted to keep on raping little girls?
