Haha I came here to post the thing. When I saw it at the dollar store, I thought WTF. It's devaluing the movie so hard.

reply

Thanks! I haven't seen it. I'll go pick it up.

reply

I just picked it up from there today. I had seen it in the store before but I knew nothing about it until the release of Bernie from prison was mentioned (online somewhere, I can't remember where I'd seen it). So I had no real expectations at the start of this movie, so figured I'd give it a try. Pleasantly surprised and pleased with it, I must say. Jack Black was terrific in it, and all the real townsfolk from Carthage were a riot to watch (the bonus features has their audition tapes). It did remind a little bit of the movie Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, probably because they are both based on real life murders in the southern U.S. I suppose.

Saw one of the movies from the previews on the dvd "Red Lights" at Dollar Tree as well. Might go back and give that one a try too. I can't complain for the cost of $1.25 if it's not to my liking. :)

Actually found it on Blu Ray for $1.25 at the dollar tree. Going to have to go there more often.

reply

Got it at the dollar store too but I had already seen it before.

I don't think Dollar Tree carries any of the dollar titles anymore. But I'll look and see,

I got my copy there.

I like your "Freddy" avatar. He never scared me though, just made me laugh.

Thanks. I like your too. Im a big Ernest fan. Jim had a great talent and he died far too young.

reply

I've bought three copies from Dollar Tree so far. One for me and the other two I've given out.

Cool! Guess where I'm going on my day off!

Dammit Carol Sue, where is the vodka?!

reply

I wonder if it is still sold there four years later? I was at Dollar Tree today but I didn't see any DVD's but I wasn't really looking either. They were probably way up in the front.
