Who was that horrible actor, Tahar Rahiem??!! ugh!

His acting was sooo crappy I had to come look him up, smdh. His stuck-on-stupid expressions would have gotten the flick a razzie award if not for professional acting from the stars. Dude was expressionless and showed no emotions on que ..geesh, what dummy gave him that role??? Better yet, they could have at least chose a slightly handsome looking young actor w/out a double chin

Lastly, I felt sorry for the actors who had roles opposite of him b/c its challenging for any actor to portray their character to the fullest when their co star doesnt deliver ..or rather isnt up to par in the drama dept. But they brillantly bounced back & did a daym good job salvaging the movie! Especially Antonio who always brings unforgettable sarcasm and humor to his Arab roles lol.

C'mon. It wasn't THAT bad. A little wooden. However, as a "prince" or whatever, he had to act restrained. I've been watching this French actor for a long time. I am guessing that The Prophet took France by storm and he's been a hot commodity since. Perhaps he is peaking too fast. I predict that he'll learn more and more in each role, w/ each director. This director is a very good one so I predict Tahar learned a lot from him. In addition, he probably learned a lot hanging around Strong, Banderas, and even Pinto. Relax.

Life's too short to be pissed off all the time.

Judging by his performance in Black Gold, I can't blame you, he's really bad. But most's performance in the movie is bad, including Banderas and Pinto, so maybe there was something wrong with the direction.
But he's really not a a bad actor. He's great actually, just watch Un Prophète, Grand Central and the most recent The Cut.

Riz Ahmed was the better actor and naturally he's just in a supporting role.
