Why would the father take the baby to the interview?

Can't their neighbours babysit it for just one afternoon?

reply

Their neighbors probably had jobs to go to. Plus the day was cursed, so even if there was a neighbor to care for the baby, the neighbor probably would have been revealed to be a psycho killer who was planning to kill the family that weekend.

"What kind of scary ass clowns came to your birthday party?"

it was last minute. it's not like looking after a kid over 4 years old. they didn't even have like diapers and stuff.
they said the sitter bailed, so i really imagine he was left with no choice.

i find not thinking too hard with these movies is your best bet 😜

reply

Exactly. The interview was set and they had a sitter ready to go. The sitter bailed and anyone who has been in a situation where they need a sitter last minute knows they aren't easy to get, especially one you know and trust and in the middle of the day during the school day.

I thought the teenage son could have watched the child, he had just called saying he was suspended and needed to be picked up. Not sure I would leave my todler with a neighbor, not that I am not friendly with any, just couldn't imagine doing that.

I thought of the exact solution. Guess they needed him to take the baby to the interview for plot advancement. 

For $200, you would be surprised what your neighbour is willing to help you with.

You have to remember the chain of events. He finds out that his son is suspended for the day at a point where it is too late to pick him up before the interview.

It was hilarious for me, could relate to it. When he opens the suitcase and gets out the toy to keep him occupied I was laughing.
