Watch "The Edge" 1997

It's a fantastic wilderness film focused on a killer kodiak bear.

Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin star. It's all practical- all a real bear- there is maybe only one CGI shot involving the bear- it's amazing how well it all plays and how much the people really feel in danger.

Just wanted to spread awareness, as the film was largely overlooked, but is quite enjoyable.

I keep seeing people on here mentioning "Grizzly," an old film from the 70's - but no one seems to be mentioning The Edge, and it does it's bear scenes spectacularly well.

Rented this today on iTunes and regret the $6.99 that I wasted on this garbage. The Edge is a fantastic film and Ghost and the Darkness is quite entertaining as well. This however is poorly acted, too much CGI and music that seems just out of place for this film. It's time spent watching this that I'll never get back.

Loved The Edge, I hope this movie is just as good.

I agree.

I watched Into the Grizzly Maze yesterday and I thought of The Edge.

Into the Grizzly Maze has a low (5.2 at this time) rating. Films like this are often underrated so I took a chance. Overlong and it had some flaws. I would give it 7/10 stars.

The Edge was much better.
