What was the joke? Horse pitching.. Why was that funny? If anyone knows, please post

The joke is that the horse thinks it would be weird for a horse to pitch even though it has just been batting.

It was a REALLY bad joke, which was the point. She didn't really laugh she was just being polite.

The joke was just as cheesy as what he served for dinner.

it's funny because (1) when a horse bucks you can also say the horse pitches
and (2) when you install a horseshoe on a horse it's called horseshoe pitching
so either way, in the old days, everyone had heard of a horse pitching (1)
or they had never heard of a horse that could pitch (2)
so it's funny once you google it or if you know horses :)
