Not like the book.

For fans of the books, you'll be disappointed. This tells that story like spawn recaptured the comic book.

Looking at it as it's own thing, it was ok. Idris Elba was a good Roland, Tom Taylor was decent as Jake, and Matthew Mcconaughey was ok as Walter. The story moved well enough, though it jumps in the middle of the story. That being said, i would watch it for free.
