Sad egotrip.

I think we can say a lot about movies like this one. It's bad, in some way to a point that it becomes a comedy. It's just a bad idea all around really. Yet there was one man who thought it was worthwhile to exploit the history of the Titanic (and possibly deluding himself that simply using the name Titanic would fool enough people that loved the Cameron movie) to make this huge egotrip he stars in, produces, wrote and directed: Shane Van Dyke.

That is kind of the most astonishing thing of all to me when thinking about a movie like this: that there is someone who thought it was a good idea and actually got enough investors to back his completely retarded attempt at stardom. Then I obviously have the image in my head of this guy walking around "his" ship with three escort-type ladies. It's hard to say what's more appropriate: laugh or cry at such a huge amount of deluded ego.

In the end I decided to laugh because such a person does not deserve any kind of sympathy. He may be a mongoloid but he's probably the first person in history deserving such a mental disability.

Best thing to do is laugh. At least he dies in the end.

Thankfully. I really thought his giant ego wouldn't have allowed his character to die.
