The woman's German was so disastrously bad, I had to read the subtitles to understand her (as a German native)! I'm sure that goes for the Russian as well.
Actually, I think you're missing the Italians. For instance the 'Italian' hotel clerk, wasn't she American?
This from someone who gave "The Legend of Billie Jean" a 10...not a 10 out of 100 but a 10 out of ten. Be honest, who read the subtitles to you?

But honestly, dude, invalidating someone's statement by looking through his or her's rating list and posting one outstanding rating is so last year. Everyone has these one or two out of the ordinary 10 ratings in their list - and you gave Rushmore 10 stars.
I've given a lot of bad films high grades...subjective and all that.
There is nothing inappropriate about visiting an IMDB's homepage to research before responding. It's a PUBLIC source of information. If you are uncomfortable with the policy delete your account. I research before responding to help determine the poster's credibility......dudette.
of course it's good and all to do that research. And by all means, you should. But then again, one rating doesn't stand for the credibility of all my ratings, nor for the above post. It's simply not a quantitative validly researched argument you're basing your above mentioned critique on. To add to that, using your own method, your very own critique would be non-valid, simply because you rated Rushmore (1998) with 10 stars.

I don't care what anyone else ranks a movie...I'm no critic I simply know what I like. You complaining about the accents was petty. So I responded in kind. sharewell, the thing is, I wasn't just complaining, I told it as it was (so, as I experienced the film, you see). In honest truth, I actually did have to read the subtitles, because I couldn't understand the German (as a German). There is a whole thread dedicated to this, just to let you see that I'm not alone in this.

Also, there is the second half of my post, which was in actual response to the thread, that is that the Italien hotel clerk didn't talk real Italian - the topic creator asked, if he overlooked any of these. So let us remain on topic from here on. Just one last note on the side: I deeply agree on that films have to appeal to the viewer's emotion; Hence, giving a rating on that aspect is as valid as it gets in rating movies.
